No Stepping up for Pre-2006 Pensioners

No Stepping up for Pre-2006 Pensioners – Who were in the scale of Rs.6500-10500.

In the revised pay structure of the 6th CPC, the more complicated and feel downcast of the employees, who were all in the pre-revised scale of Rs.5000-8000 and 5500-9000.

Unfortunately, the commission was recommended to merge the two grades and granted Rs.4200 Grade pay for both the scales equally. The employees are still expecting that there should be created some changes between two grades. All of us know, how difficult is getting a single promotion in Government service. That’s why, the ACP and MACP schemes itself was introduced by the Pay Commissions.

This issue has been repeatedly raised by the Staff Side JCM members in the various level of meetings and discussed, but Official Side has not agreed with that.

Now, the Pre-2006 pensioners were asked, whether there will be any stepping up for pre-revised scale of Rs.6500-10500. Because, the scale has been upgraded to Rs.4600 Grade pay in lieu of Rs.4200 to serving employees. It is calrified that the pre-2006 retired employees who were in the pre-revised scale of Rs.6500-10500 are not entitled for stepping up of their pension and family pension with reference to the revised grade pay Rs.4600.

The above clarification has been issued by the Railway Department.
