Central Government employees protest Centre’s New Pension Scheme

Central Government employees protesting the New Pension Scheme in Chennai

Staff of Central Government, led by the major federations of INTUC, BMS, CITU, HMS etc., on 8.11.2011 Tuesday staged a protest in front of Memorial Hall Chennai, demanding withdrawal of the Central Government’s New Pension Scheme and their minimum salary should be Rs.10000.

To insist the ten point charter of demands, including the price rise of essential commodities should be controlled and to implement welfare laws of Government employees, said Tamil Nadu Maha sammelana General Secretary Durai Pandiyan.

He added, all Tamil Nadu representatives of major Trade Unions and Federations leader and employees of Central Government are participating in the protest scheduled today(8.11.2011) at Memorial Hall, Chennai.
