Tamil Nadu Government declares additional DA

Additional DA of 7% declared by Tamil Nadu Government

Tamil Nadu government has declared an additional Dearness allowance of 7% to its employees with effect from 1.1.2012.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister has made an announcement in Tamil Nadu, Legislative Assembly on 9.4.2012 that the move follows recent Dearness allowance hike by Union Government for Central Government employees and pensioners, similarly the 7% of additional Dearness allowance will be enhanced to all serving employees, Pensioners and Family pensioners.

The revised rates of Dearness allowance will be paid in cash with effect from 1st January, 2012.
