DEARNESS ALLOWANCE FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES |
The details of the All India Consumer Price Index Number – points for the month of June,2010 will be announced by the Government through Labour Bureau today or in next week. The percentage of additional Dearness Allowance (DA) for this year of 2010 – July will be finalised soon as it was looked forward with lots of expectations, particularly in Central Government Employees, Pensioners and State Government Employees… Dearness Allowance is an essential component of salary, it is based on monthly All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (Base year 2001-100) announced by the Labour Bureau – Government of India from time to time. After 6th CPC only the Government directed that the Dearness Allowance has to be calculated based on AICPIN with the base year 2001-100. We have clearly stated in our site that the Dearness Allowance (DA) from Jan-2010 to Jun-2010 should be 8% with appropriate proof. Some had doubt about this, but the Government accepted and the 8% Dearness Allowance (DA) was announced (19.03.2010) from Jan-2010. As of now, the situation demands increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) from Jul-2010 to Dec-2010 should be 45%(35% + 10%) and it will confirmed only when the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPIN) value for June to be published. For the month of May AICPIN value stands at 172, If the All India Consumer Price Index Number – value crosses 174 and above, there is a chance that the increase of additional Dearness Allowance (DA) will be 10%. We have to wait one or two days for this authentic announcement from Labour Bureau… (Pl.check this link to know the update of AICPIN : http://labourbureau.nic.in/indnum.htm)
So the confirmation of second installment of Dearness Allowance for this year from July to December for Central Government Employees hsa arrived at 45% (35% + 10%). No more arguements further in this issue… |
