HOSPITALS, DIAGNOSTIC LABS & IMAGING CENTRES

Government of India is contemplating introduction of a Health Insurance Scheme for Central Government Employees and Pensioners and their family members all over India. Medical services will be provided to the beneficiaries by the Insurance Company(s) through hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and imaging centres to be empanelled by the Insurance Company(s).

Government is also contemplating accreditation by National Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) as an essential condition for the empanelment of hospitals for this scheme by the insurance companies. Similarly, diagnostic laboratories whether independent/standalone/housed in hospitals/outsourced, would have to obtain accreditation from National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration of Laboratories (NABL). Imaging centres would have to be approved by BARC / AERB. These requirements have already been made compulsory under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).

Through this notice, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is informing all hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and imaging centres, who would be interested in empanelment under the proposed insurance scheme, that they should initiate action well in time to obtain the requisite accreditations / approvals.

    Sir,
Please take the issue of Health Insurance as done in pvt sector for all the central govt. employees as the present system of referal system to govt. hospitals is very tedious and of no help to employees in emergency cases. Please take the issue for early implementation of the scheme.

    Sir,
in my opinion ALL THE HOSPITALS, DIAGNOSTIC LABS & IMAGING CENTRES should have national accreditation to ensure quality medical facility to the citizens.it should not be for merely for insurance purpose.
now i am working in Naval Base, Kochi earlier in Mumbai & Port Blair
I have not made any medical reimbursement in my last 20 years of service due to lengthy paper work.
therefore request reduce paper work and early implementation of health insurance scheme.

    Sir,
I am a Civilian employee of India Air Force presently working at 1 BRD, AF,covered under CGHS for Medical Facilities. The Procedure for treatment/diagnostic procedure please made so simple as employee should not pay the expenditure occurred in treatment/diagnostic procedure. This happen when employee himself admitted in hospital and there is no one come forward for help because employees dependent do not know department rule or he/she is engaged for care.
therefore treatment/diagnostic procedure please be made cashless. The expenditure occurred, paper action to be done by the hospital to Department as same is being done for the pensioners. If more money is charged by the hospital it should be audited and recovered form the hospital and not from the employee pay.
