  1. P.V. ANANTHANARAYANAN - September 7, 2010

a considerable hike in DA may be made on the basis of rise in price of all commodities.

  2. PIRAISOODI - September 7, 2010

Eventhough the hike of D.A. is expected as 10%, the continuous increase in price of commodoties will affect the middle class government employees very much. Hence the government should take immediate action to cut the price hike to safeguard the common public.

  3. S.Prasanna - September 9, 2010

  16. manoranjan sahu - November 22, 2010

Once the DA crosses 50 pc limit , Govt should merge basic with 50 pc DA and reshedule all allowences by increasing 50 pc directly. Otherwise all trade unions should come together to demand the same. Govt should also change the grade pay accordingly assuming new pay after merging with DA as there is widening desparities among different cadre’s pay structures. …….. …….. manoranjan sahu

  47. SANJAY SINGH - January 15, 2011

KEEPING IN MIND THE PREVAILING FOOD INFLATION 18.32%, DEARNESS ALLOWANCE SHOULD BE INCREASED AT LEAST BY 20% W.E.F 01.01.2011.

  57. BC SADHU - January 23, 2011

DA at least 10% w e f 1.1.2011,Because monotonically inreasing of essential commodities.

  58. rahul bhandari - January 25, 2011

    hello all of u,

i wish to submit that DA should be drawan/distribute by rank wise category may be classified at their own basis

Just like a peon getting like DA and JS and above are getting the same DA respectively. It may be justified

  59. dhananjay rai - January 25, 2011

DA from 01.01.2011 will be 53% confirm.

    I THINK DA MUST 10%+ FROM 01 01 2011,ACCORDING TO INFLATION

  63. B R Pandey - January 26, 2011

Taking in to consideration price hike of essential commodities and prevailing food inflation, in my opinion the expected D.A.FROM 1.1.2011 should be atleast 12 to 15 percent

  64. amit - January 27, 2011

when will the increase in DA annouced??

  65. rajinder lau - January 27, 2011

DA in my guess should be around 8-10% from january 2011

  66. Aman Chawla - January 27, 2011

The pace at which the prices of petrol and other essential commodities are rising, the Govt. should go for Pay Commission every 5 years instead of 10.

  67. Ritu Bhutani - January 30, 2011

Whether a Govt. Servant placed suspension period prior to 1.4.2004 (date of merger of 50% D.A. into D.P.) is entitled for HRA at enhanced rates from 1.4.2004 onwards during suspension period ?

  68. Prabiaadak - January 31, 2011

    SIR,
KEEPING IN VIEW OF THE PRESENT PRICE HIKE THE DA SHOULD BE 10% MINIMUM.

  69. sandeep gaude - February 1, 2011

we heard that DA was increased 12% on 31.01.2011 declared by central govt.. is it true.

  70. jayanta adhikari - February 1, 2011

sorry, DA will be just 6% from jan 2011

  71. AVTAR PHULL (UK) - February 2, 2011

Keeping in view the raising price trend at the consumer’s end,
and day to day price hike in essential food commodities, rate of DA should go a further increase between 9-12% the least in

  72. AVTAR PHULL (UK) - February 2, 2011

Keeping in view the raising price trend at the consumer’s end,
and day to day price hike in essential food commodities, rate of DA should go a further increase between 9-12% the least because of the present market prevailing inflation. Also the Government to consider the need of merging 50% DA to the basic rate to avoid pressurised action by different Government departments to do so. I would like to repeat that the Govt is by the peoples, to the peoples and for the peoples.

  73. MAZUMDAR,P.K. - February 3, 2011

It is understandable that DA increase is based on some caculation on the price index of that particular period, but people are forgetting about medical reimbursement ,at least for the pensioners. The present FMA HAS NO BASIS FOR CALCULATION, IT IS JUST LIKE ALMS THROWN UPON THE HELPLESS PENSIONERS.

  74. sasikumar - February 4, 2011

THE D.A INCREMENT WILL BE 6% OR 7% SO THAT THERE WILL BE 25% HIKE IN SOME ALLOWANCES

  75. R.S Saini - February 5, 2011

i retired in march 1996 with basic pay rs 16250 from hpseb my basic pension should have been Rs 8150 that is 50% ofRs16250 where as Department is paying Rs 7330 Idonot understand i made many representation ,nothing is in my favour .WillYOU pLease guide me .

  76. Vinay kumar upadhyay - February 7, 2011

Govt. should grant DA 11 percent from January 2011 and income tax limit should be increase from 1.60 lacs to 3.00 lacs.

  77. surya - February 7, 2011

DA hike will be at least 15 percent. look at the inflation rate, it has never been less than 12% in the last 6 mnths

  78. subodh kumar singh - February 11, 2011

At present,The inflation rate of the market is near about 14%. that is why the DA should be increased by 8-10%. More important is that inflation of the market is 14% but hike in price of commodities is more worst. Keeping in view the raising price trend at the consumer’s end,and day to day price hike in essential food commodities, rate of DA should go a further increase between 8-10% the least CG employees.

C.J.Mathews Sankarathil MBA on February 13, 2011 at 6:45 am
Findout the calculation and try yourself with the help of calculator. But you are lucky enough to get 7% D.A from January 2011, which will be announced by government after 15th of March 2011.
    Jan-172,Feb-170,Mar-170,,Apr-170,May-172,Jun-174,Jul-178,Aug-178,Sep-179,Oct-181,Nov-182,Dec-185. DA=[(2111/12)-115.76]*100/115.76=51.966. This 6.966 will be round3ed to 7%. It means 45+7 = 52% from January 2011 onwards. Happy D.A . C.J.Mathews Sankarathil.MBA

I joined as a Defence civilian employee in 1992. Without any promotion I completed 18 years service. What is promotion procedure ? Please give reply.

  81. R.K.Gupta - February 14, 2011

At present,The inflation rate of the market is very high for the last 2-3 months . Only, 6% DA from 1.1.2011, how can it justify,it should be at least 10% to 12 %

  82. s.t.pethkar - February 16, 2011

what is the proposed d.a.from january 2011

  83. Siromanimaddirala - February 17, 2011

I am not stisfied with 6%DA wef.1.1.2011.prices are increased very toomuch but DA is low.this is wrong calculation.

  84. i p tomar - February 17, 2011

can da mearge in basic after 50 percent

  85. jp - February 18, 2011

It is not justifiable by the Central Government for releasing the D.A of 6% from January 2011. When compared to purchase of any silly item also the D.A enhancement of 6% is unbearable for any of the Government employee.

  86. Balakrishna - February 21, 2011

I am not stisfied with 6%DA wef.1.1.2011.prices are increased very too much but DA is low.this is wrong calculation.Bala, Hut Bay

  87. VIJAY - February 22, 2011

At present,The inflation rate of the market is very high for the last 2-3 months . Only, 6% DA from 1.1.2011, how can it justify,it should be at least 12% to 14 %

  88. Surendra Rathore - February 22, 2011

Once the DA crosses 55 pc limit , Govt should merge basic with 55 pc DA and reshedule all allowences by increasing 50 pc directly. Otherwise all trade unions should come together to demand the same. Govt should also change the grade pay accordingly assuming new pay after merging with DA as there is widening desparities among different cadre’s pay structures.

  89. SAJITH - February 27, 2011

The hike in DA must be linked with the current prices from time to time, since most of the itmes which were in inflation calculation are not actually count.

  90. bhaskaran atholi - March 2, 2011

The DA for January 2011 stands at an average rate of 7 percent so that the same crosses to 52% .It is the most probable figure. It would have been justified if the same is merged with the basic pay as per the previous recommendation. Anyhow consequential changes are there is other allowances CEA etc

  91. Virender Kaul,Gandhi Nagar, Jammu - March 3, 2011

The DA as per present caculation comes 7%, but keeping in view, the present inflation the authorities may merge the 50% of DA with Basic pay, it is the only way to cope up with present price trend in the market.

  92. lovekush M - March 3, 2011

Da shd be increased by 10 % aleast and it shd be merged with Basic and other allowance is to be increased acoordingly.

  93. ranjith - March 4, 2011

Dear friends expected hike in DA is 6 % . There is no provision of DA merger with basic(6CPC) but allowances will be increased to the tune of 25 %.

  99. Shashi Kant - March 17, 2011

6% DA will be increased wef 01 Jan 2011.

  100. Rakesh Prasher - March 17, 2011

At present,The inflation rate of the market is very high for the last 2-3 months . Only, 6% DA from 1.1.2011, how can it justify,it should be at least 12% to 14 %

  101. MAK - March 18, 2011

D.A should be 6% as per all india consumer price index., and if government is going to increase fuel prices, they might make it 7%(to compensate for it), just to appease the employees.

  102. karunanithi - March 18, 2011

Whether the increase in DA is announced ?

  103. Ishan Patel, Ahmedabad. - March 18, 2011

When will government announce new D.A. for the year of 2011? We are eagerly waiting for that. Pls answer

  104. N. Ganesh - March 18, 2011

Employees should be classified into 3 or 4 groups according to basic pay + grade pay. Low salary group should be given high DA and High Income group should be given marginal DA, since price hike does not affect high income group.

  105. Dr.K. Asokan - March 18, 2011

I agree with N. Ganesh. In principle the purpose of DA is to annul the effect of price rise, so all income groups must get approximately the same amount from a hike in DA. Otherwise with each DA the gap in the salary between the high income and low income group are further widened.

  106. SAJITH - March 18, 2011

Ishan Patel ji, the DA will be accounced in the last week of March of every year and will be pad in the next month i.e. April, but the DA is very much low i.,e. 6 pc

  107. Ishan Patel, Ahmedabad. - March 19, 2011

D.A.for 2011 will be 6% only. Its not enough.

  108. S K Mondal - March 20, 2011

What is the use of increase of Da. Prices of comodity will increase within no time. More over you have to pay more tax as your salary is increasing, but purchase capacity is reducing. think it.

  109. Geeta Sharma - March 21, 2011

D A will be 6% and 25% every allowance will be increase. To more information call me 5664466 yours GEETA SHARMA age 29 unmarried, please call at night

  110. Dr. B. R. Meena - March 22, 2011

DA @ 6% from jan. 2011 may be sufficient if the cost of Kitchen items shuold be controlled by the Government

  111. Pratheesh - March 22, 2011

    Hi,
Now DA increased to 51% so whether any change in B/Pay also ?

  112. ajay - March 23, 2011

I heard if once DA cross 50% then all allowance will be25% included. There is any merging in Basic salary. Any DP would be made? what will be the total benefits on it.

  113. sastry.c.a. - March 27, 2011

  114. s.anthony,bangalore - March 31, 2011

dear sir i have question with “SWAMY BOOK” predictor ur deciding DA before the price rise, why not the HRA,TA, day-by-day the petrol prise has been increasing, still u precdicted 2011-JAN DA, according to cpi-rates it crossed double the rate of DA.please do consider about HRA,TA,too, in future, thank u.

  115. abc - March 31, 2011

Expected DA for May 2011 for Bank Employee will be 52.80 if CPI for March 2011 is 185. Or it will be 53.10 if March CPI is 186

  116. RASHID - April 3, 2011

It is not fair calculation for bank DA due from May 2011 as CPI for feb 2011 was down by 3pts although it was up 3pts in jan 2011

  117. Ishan Patel - April 11, 2011

  118. B. Jayakumar - April 20, 2011

  121. H Nagaraja - June 21, 2011

    Dear Sir,
    1. I’m the employee of Employees Provident Fund Organization with Grade Pay-Rs.2400/-. I had been sponsored for in-service “Personality Development” Training held at Zonal Training Institute, Chennai from 09-05-2011 to 13-05-2011.

    2. At ZTI, Chennai hostel, 3 trainees were accommodated in one single room (not single room for each) and daily schedule was started at 0700 AM for yoga. As per FRSR(Edition-2006), Part-II, Chapter-6, Section-VI, SR-51(5), Page-67 casual hospitality such as free lunch or tea during working hours should not be treated as “free board”. Hence, in my opinion facilities provided at ZTI, Chennai hostel should not be treated as free board and lodging.

    3. Also, Swamy’s Hand Book-2011, Section-27, sub-section-7, Para-1, Page-346 clearly mentioned “Training Institutes where boarding and lodging facilities exists-First 30 days -FULL DA ADMISSIBLE”.

    4. In view of the above, I request you to clarify whether I get Full DA or 1/4 of the DA prescribed for my GP.

  122. shaji mk - July 13, 2011

What will be the DA from 01 Jan 2011

  123. shiv kumar mahto - September 22, 2011

  124. MSU - September 26, 2011
