We have given below the same content as indicated in All India Railwaymen’s Federation website regarding the increment issue and also AIRF insisted that one increment may be given when an employee is promoted within same grade pay… Issue of giving increment in January-2006 for those whose increments falls between Feb. and June has been rejected by MOF but again the issue has been taken by AIRF. DOPT has agreed to review the issue and indication has been given if staff side agrees one time exemption can be given to resolve this issue. Staff Side insisted that one increment may be given when an employee is promoted within same Grade Pay, for example promotion from ASM to SM or MCM to JE, because resposibilites also increases. NAC has asked Railways to provide list so that decision can be taken at the earliest. |

Dear Sir,I got my promotion from OS-II to OS-I in Feb’2006 and thereafter the post of OS-I has been merged with the scale earlier which was Ch.OS. I am unable to understand in which way & to what extent I am to be benefitted? As such, after issuance of pay commission report I had opted my date of increment from Feb’2006, inter-alia which enables me to get increment from July 2006, by that way I am looser by a margin of 05 months. Thereafter, various circulars of option has been issued e.g one circular says that I can opt from July2006 and in that event I will get one increment in lower grade and one in higher grade with fitment benefit,can you please clarify what to opt so that it becomes beneficial to me.

Issue of giving increment in January-2006 for those whose increments falls between Feb. and June IS ONLY JUSTICE TO THE PRINCIPAL OF MINIMUM SIX MONTHS FOR GRANT OF INCREMENT AND IS AUTOMATIC FOR ONE TIME MEASURE. THEREFORE THE staff side SHOULD agrees FOR one time exemption to resolve this issue.
SIMILARY THE STAFF SIDE SHOULD ASK FOR GRANT OF INCREMENT TO THE EMPLOYEES RETIRING FROM 31 DEC TO 30 JUN BEING HAVING COMPLETED SIX MONTHS MENDATORY SERVICE AND THEY ARE NOT QUITING THE SERVICE AT THEIR OWN LIKE GRANT OF SERVICE PENSION ON SUPERRANUATION AFTER 10 YEARS OF SERVICE.
sir, i have been posted as junior accounts officer from stenographer in the time scale 5500-9000 and was given the increment as per 22(a)(ii) ie. holding higher responsibility. Subsequently the auditors stated that the fixation is not correct and recovery was made. Will the proposed or decided issue ie. increment is to be given in the same grade will applicable or not. please clarify to enable me to reclaim the recovered amount. thanks

As DOPT has agreed to review the issue and indication has been given that if staff side agrees for one time exemption, they can be resolve this issue, kindly agree to this one time exemption and achieve favourable order because from this anomaly of date of next increment from feb to june, so many officials affected and it also affects the retirement benefits.
I have been passed the written examination, selected in”outstanding” and promoted as OS-II during August-2008 and the orders of pay commission implemented from September-2008. Since the grades of Head clerk and OS-II have been merged to the grade pay of Rs.4200 in VI PC and all the allowances are effective from 01.09.2008, the cadre of OS-II is to be shown separately from that of Head clerks (Now OS)to those promoted prior to 01.09.2008.
An UDC after completion of 30 years he has drawing grade pay of Rs 4600/- , when he is promoted to Asst he has to draw GP Rs 4600/- only, again he has promoted to OS he has to draw GP Rs 4600/-, again when he promoted to Cl-II officer in Ordnance Corps as OOC(A) he only get GP Rs 4600/-. That means he has to draw same Grade pay in four Ranks and also not getting any increment if one promoted in same GP. Presently after completion 30 years only One UDC is getting his further promotion. Hence one should get atlest one increment. Thanks

Pay as on 21/3/2011 â Rs 13610 in pay band (9300-34800)+ 4600
Minimum Pay in present pay band â Rs. 12540 + 4600
Pay fixed as on 22/3/2011 â Rs 13610 + GP 4600
Date of next increment â 01-07-2012
Thus i have been denied both promotional and annual increments saying that u have joined in same grade pay, so yours pay in pay band may only be protected. Please suggest.

I am a Direct recruit as inspector of Central Excise into the cadre of Customs& Central Excise and was posted in the year 2010. Before my joining in this cadre, I worked as Assistant in the Armed Forces Headquarter, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi form 3rd November, 2008 to 2nd March, 2010. On my selection as Inspector in this Department, necessary information was passed on to my previous department and necessary formalities observed by my previous Department to this department through proper channel. At the time of my joining in this deparment, I had submitted âTechnical Resignationâ form my previous post for the purpose of joining in the new posting and was duly accepted by my earlier department and relieved me on 2nd March, 2010. On my joining in this department, I had been awarded the pay and allowances applicable to a Direct Recruit Inspector only. At present I am in the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800/- with a grade pay of Rs. 4600/- with a basic pay of Rs. 12540+Grade pay of Rs. 4600/-. On the basis of the above facts, Can i know that….
a) I will get the benefit of past service ?
b) I will be awarded the pay and allowances according to the LPC ?
c) I will get the increment on 01/07/2010 ?

As regard to the grade pay of the LDCs and UDCs after upgrading of the Group ‘D’ to Group ‘C’ many multi tasking workers are drawing the grade pay of 2400. I have given 23 years of service to the Government of India and now working as UDC joined as LDC as DR, isn’t it is very humiliating for us who are drawing the same grade pay as that of the Group ‘D’. Hence it is requested to take up the issue with DOPT to revise the grade pay of LDC from 2000 to 2400 and UDC from 2400 to 2800 w.e.f. 01-01-2006.
what is the next promation to jta’s in csir? jta and sta post merged? they grade pay is 4200 for jta and sta.in csir for jta promation they are giving one increment and same grade pay.no change of grade pay .for sta promation giving 4600 grade pay.then what is the benifit to jta ?

I have been promoted as Private Secretary in the grade pay of Rs4600 in the year 2008. Before my promotion to PS cadre I was granted MACP and my pay fixed at 4600 grade. Promotion to the same grade pay may please be given 3% increment but which was not granted. On the other hand PS post was equivalent to Asstt.Accounts Officer under pre-revised scale. Please clarify why PS scale have not been upgraded with 4800 Grade pay.

every rejoining there is no service break. But considering as reappointment through open advertisement I have not been given 1 incrementâŚ.! I am under loss by 1 increment. Not only that every change in scale earlier increments are not considered.Can any body help people like me.

i have promoted before 6th pay commissions from head clerk to os-II and given benefit of promotion of one increment.but at the time of fixation of pay of 6th pay commission may pay has been reduced and fixed me at lower stage of hd.clerk. And the increment which was drawn me against promotion had withdrawn by account deptt at the time of certification.
i can’t understand that if staff promoted and given benefit once and responsibility fixed as per promotion and worked in grade how and what basis to take such type of decision against the staff and nobody to ask administration from clerical side. it is therefore requested to look into matter of clerical side and include in your agenda so that all staff can be benefited,as this is a genuine request of all clerk.
WHAT ABOUT NAC DECISION TO GIVE ONE INCREMENT TO THOSE WHO ARE PROMOTED IN SAME GRADE PAY. AS MAZDOOR GRADE PAY IS RS.1800/- IF PROMOTED IN SAME GRADE PAY WHILE HE GET ONE INCREMENT.LET US KNOW ABOUT IT .
